Speculative Voicing x Pedreira






2024 -   
    Since the completion of my PhD I have been disseminating the knowledge it created through presentations, consultation and workshops. One such workshop was held at Pedreira in Porto, Portugal as part of their Radycal Lab, Contra Manobrassss programme. 

In these Speculative Voicing workshops we contemplated questions including: 
How do your identity and your voice converge or diverge?
How do you want to be heard by technology?
How do you want to hide from technology?
How do you want to hear with technology?        

Using the questions as prompts the participants explored these ideas sonically using a specially created Max/MSP patch which offers real-time voice modulation.

The workshop culminated in an improvised performance using the speculative voices everyone had created.
