A Voice for Radio

2017
A collaboration between myself and Dr Jacob McGuinn. By understanding voice as ‘material’, shaped and sculpted, both by the body and by technology: we are exploring how do we measure a ‘voice’ as a ‘sound’, or the point at which a ‘sound’ is recognisably a ‘voice’? We utilize radio as a medium to tell stories and share ideas sonically, aiming to contend with the ocularcentric forms we primarily use to interpret the world around us.

This production was created for Co – at Supernormal Festival 2017.
Also broadcast for Radiophrenia, Glasgow, Scotland and Riding the Wave _XX Files Pirate Radio, Nuit blanche, Montréal, Canada.
